It argues that post-truth populism, defined as the strategic fusion of securitised discourse and emotionally charged identity appeals with epistemic manipulation, enables populist leaders to shape the political battlefield through affective and symbolic narratives rather than policy content. Drawing on discourse analysis of President Recep Tayyip Erdo & gbreve;an's 2023 campaign in Turkey, the article shows how the ruling coalition reframed the elections as an existential struggle against internal and external enemies while simultaneously offering emotionally resonant promises of national revival. Rather than focus solely on institutional advantages or voter grievances, this study foregrounds the discursive agency of populist leaders and their ability to manufacture fear, pride and loyalty. By analysing how Erdo & gbreve;an's campaign displaced economic accountability with emotionally saturated, post-factual narratives, the article contributes to literatures on populism, post-truth politics and securitisation. It explores the mechanisms and outcomes of such engagement. Focusing on & Scedil;enes Erzik, a long-serving executive in UEFA and FIFA, the study examines how such actors operate within institutional sport structures while intersecting with broader diplomatic processes. The findings suggest that sport diplomacy can advance national visibility and soft power objectives, particularly through international representation and branding. Erzik's involvement in peace initiatives, informal mediation in politically sensitive matches, and participation in joint tournament bids demonstrates how sport officials may serve as facilitators of diplomatic communication. The case further illustrates that sport diplomacy, when driven by individual initiative, can align with national foreign policy goals. This article analyzes the ideologies, influences, and politics that have shaped this state monopoly over the sports system across three phases from the 1920s to the 1990s: establishment, stabilization, and instrumentalization. The establishment phase aimed to align sports with nation-building ideals, incorporating nationalist ideology and paramilitarism. The stabilization phase embraced a statist approach influenced by socio-economic conditions and Soviet influence. Unlike previous studies, this research extends the literature by analysing affective as well as cognitive dimensions in the same model with a holistic view by simultaneously examining the direct and indirect effects of the related concepts. The distinctive nature of this study is its evaluation of customer satisfaction and loyalty from the perspective of actual consumers. The research model was tested using data collected from 685 retail banking customers by applying structural equation modelling. The findings show that relationship marketing induces loyalty through relationship quality, customer value, and satisfaction, which are mainly provided by trust, communication, and relationship investment. Furthermore, relationship investment and relationship quality are the most important factors in the development of customer value, satisfaction, and loyalty. The emotional value dimension, which captures the affective aspects of perceived value, has the strongest effect on both satisfaction and loyalty.Article Citation - WoS: 7Citation - Scopus: 6A Cross-Sectional Survey Study on Homophobia Among Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Other Health Sciences Students(Routledge Journals, Taylor & Francis Ltd, 2023) Seren, Arzu Kader Harmanci; Bacaksiz, Feride Eskin; Cakir, Hanife; Yilmaz, Sevil; Sukut, Ozge; Turan, Suzan; Maghsoudi, Nurten; Eşkin Bacaksiz, Feride; Harmanci Seren, Arzu KaderSince the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) community may be exposed to violence, discrimination, stigma, exclusion, and maltreatment due to their sexual orientation while accessing healthcare services, understanding, and improving the attitudes of future's health care professionals toward LGBTI individuals seem essential. This descriptive and cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the homophobia among medical, nursing, pharmacy, and healthcare sciences students and examine the related factors. The study included 2,531 students from medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and other health sciences (midwifery, nutrition and dietetics, physiotherapy, management of healthcare facilities) disciplines. Homophobia was measured with the Hudson and Ricketts Homophobia Scale. After getting ethical and institutional approvals, data were collected and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests. Medical students had the lowest homophobia score, and their mean score was significantly lower than other students. There was a significant difference between students' scores according to years of study, age, sex, acquaintance with LGBTI individuals, providing healthcare services to an LGBTI person, and opinions on providing care. Although homophobia scores of nursing, pharmacy, and other health sciences students were lower than the medical students', policies and expansive content regarding LGBTI should be in place in all health science educational institutes, including medical schools, to prevent students from holding homophobic and prejudicial attitudes against LGBTI individuals.
