However, learning these skills is highly challenging. A new method that offers secure, controlled settings for skill development is simulation-based training.AimThis systematic review aims to examine the different high-fidelity simulation programs and their effectiveness in enhancing endovascular skills among vascular surgery trainees.MethodsA comprehensive literature search was conducted across PubMed, SCOPUS, Cochrane CENTRAL, and Web of Science using PRISMA guidelines. We included all studies of all designs involving high-fidelity simulation in vascular surgery training. The eligibility criteria focused on studies assessing simulation interventions comparing pre- and post-course outcomes. Data extraction was done manually using Excel spreadsheets by two independent reviewers, and quality assessment was performed using a 19-point scale. The studies were also evaluated using Kirkpatrick's adapted hierarchy based on their educational impact.ResultsA total of 35 studies met the inclusion criteria, covering a range of simulation modalities, including virtual reality, augmented reality, and physical simulators. The findings demonstrated significant improvements in procedural skills, operation time, operative errors, and participant's confidence across all training levels. However, there were great variations in study methods and design, as well as a lack of a specific framework for skill assessment.ConclusionFor endovascular training, high-fidelity simulation is a useful tool for skill development. GunizBreast cancer remains one of the most prevalent and lethal malignancies among women, highlighting the urgent need for novel therapeutic strategies that can overcome resistance mechanisms. The p38 alpha mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK14) plays a key role in inflammation-associated oncogenic signaling, making it an attractive molecular target for drug development. In this study, a novel series of diclofenac-based hydrazone derivatives (4a-4o) were designed, synthesized, and characterized using FT-IR, 1H- and 13C-NMR spectroscopy, thin-layer chromatography, and elemental analysis. Computational target profiling using SwissTargetPrediction identified MAPK14 as the primary predicted target. Molecular docking against the MAPK14 crystal structure (PDB ID: 1WBS) revealed high binding affinities (-11.41 to -8.34 kcal/mol), supported by MM/GBSA free energy calculations and molecular dynamics simulations, which confirmed stable ligand-protein interactions through hydrogen bonding with Asp168 and Glu71. In vitro cytotoxicity assays on MCF-7 (luminal A) and MDA-MB-231 (triple-negative) breast cancer cell lines demonstrated low-micromolar IC50 values, with compounds 4c, 4d, and 4e showing the strongest activity (2.1-4.5 mu M), surpassing the reference drug Tamoxifen. Overall, the results indicate that diclofenac hydrazones represent promising candidates anticancer properties through MAPK14 inhibition, providing a foundation for the development of next-generation therapeutics against breast cancer.Article The Current Face of Mosaic Art: Flacking Istanbul Examples(Bursa Uludag University, 2025) Ural, A.G.French artist Ememem is an anonymous artist who started producing his artworks in the city of Lyon in 2016. The term ‘flacking’, which he developed to express the combination of various fields such as upcycling, street art, mosaic art, is becoming increasingly common and attracting the attention of local municipalities. The aim of this study is to discuss the art of flacking, which is a face of mosaic art, which is a very old branch of art, derived from current terms. In terms of scope, examples from Istanbul will be tried to be found and compared with foreign examples. As an innovative solution to this issue, the Smart Test Scenario Tool (STS) has been developed. Smart Test Scenario Tool (STS) enhances contextual accuracy and automation in test scenario generation by analyzing documents in xlsx, py, cpp, txt, and docx formats using large language models. This approach minimizes time loss, and the risk of errors encountered in traditional manual testing processes while transforming test procedures into a context-driven and systematic framework, offering an innovative contribution to the literature. Strengthened with a Streamlit interface, MongoDB-supported database management, and Ollama integration, the system enables the test scenario generation process, a critical component of the software testing cycle, to be conducted more efficiently and reliably. The construction sector assumes a pivotal role in achieving decarbonization targets. It is imperative to acknowledge the potential of practices in developing countries, which can provide the critical part of carbon reduction on a global scale. In this context, Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB) are attracting global attention as a key component of sustainable construction and urban regeneration. Despite high level of energy efficiency and potential to utilize renewable energy, nZEBs have not found widespread application in developing countries. This study benefits from a systematic review of the whole-life decarbonization process of nZEB office buildings. The study evaluated policy frameworks, implementation, and potential emission reduction strategies through energy efficiency measures, material selection, and the integration of renewable energy. In response, the study proposes a structured, context-sensitive decarbonization maturity scale and roadmap to guide policy and practice in developing countries and utilized Türkiye as a case study example. The findings reveal that Türkiye’s current nZEB definition positions it at Level 2 (Emerging) on the decarbonization maturity scale. The country’s high carbon intensity signals the urgency of prioritizing demand reduction and efficiency. Despite enhancements, nZEB offices in Türkiye exhibit high carbon emissions, with operational emissions ranging from 7.5 to 35 kgCO<inf>2</inf>-eq/m2/year and embodied carbon from 182 to 201 kgCO<inf>2</inf>-eq/m2. The inability of healthcare professionals and clients to survive the pandemic and the inadequacy of personal protective equipment have created uncertainties regarding the appropriate practices for addressing individuals' health conditions. Furthermore, the field of rehabilitation, including occupational therapy, has experienced changes in the delivery of traditional practices. Therefore, this review aimed to examine occupational therapy services delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of the literature review, the most commonly provided services by occupational therapists during COVID-19 were discussed and a total of 87 references were accessed. These services were grouped under the headings of acute/intensive care unit, post-COVID-19, telerehabilitation, preventive mental health, school-based occupational therapy, occupational therapy education, and ergonomics. It was seen that occupational therapists had several challenges during the pandemic. They had to adapt their interventions according to the new conditions and so they have frequently used technology. It is crucial for the effectiveness of the rehabilitation that occupational therapy services continue in challenging and unexpected situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic. It is necessary to strengthen future occupational therapy practices based on standards through collaboration among occupational therapists. Cosmetic and functional complications may arise from the improper handling of this muscle. Surgery for recurrent pathologies may be challenging due to adhesions and muscle damage.Material and methods:A systematic review following PRISMA guidelines was conducted to consolidate literature on the potential techniques used for preserving the temporalis muscle during neurosurgical interventions. PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science were systematically searched using predefined criteria from inception to 2025. A qualitative synthesis was done summarizing the primary cranial pathology, type of surgical approach, the technical clue for temporalis muscle preservation, follow up and complications.Results:We included 27 eligible articles with a total number of 811 patients. About 508 (62.6%) of patients underwent pterional approach, while 150 (18.4%) patients had decompressive craniotomies. Aneurysm clipping was the surgical indication in 172 (21.2%) patients, while decompressive surgery was done for traumatic brain injuries in about 48 (5.9%) patients. Osteoplastic temporalis muscle flap was used in 178 (21.9%) patients, while some authors sutured the temporalis muscle to the cranioplasty plate in 79 (9.7%) patients. Fixation of the temporalis muscle to the bone using sutures through small holes was done in 100 (12.33%) patients. No chewing problems were recorded among all the patients analyzed. Temporalis muscle atrophy was observed in only 13 (1.6%) patients.Conclusion:Proper manipulation of the temporalis muscle during surgery is crucial for the vitality of its fibers and to prevent postoperative functional or cosmetic drawbacks.Article Gastroprotective Role of Myrtus Communis in a Dual-Condition Model Combining Diabetes and Postmenopausal Rats: Comparable Outcomes to Estrogen Therapy(Cukurova Univ, Fac. Medicine, 2025) Dagsuyu, Eda; Kadioglu-Yaman, Beril; Sen, Ali; Sener, Goksel; Yanardag, RefiyePurpose: Hormonal changes during menopause, especially the decline in estrogen and progesterone levels, can impair gastrointestinal function by slowing digestion. This study aimed to evaluate the protective effects of Myrtus communis subsp. communis (MC) extract on gastric tissue in a postmenopausal diabetic rat model and to compare its efficacy with estrogen (E2) treatment. Materials and Methods: Female Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into six groups: control (C); ovariectomy (OVX); diabetes (D); ovariectomy and diabetes (OVX+D); ovariectomy, diabetes and estrogen (OVX+D+E2); ovariectomy, diabetes and MC (OVX+D+MC). OVX groups had bilateral ovariectomy utilizing the double dorsolateral method. After a seven-day recovery, diabetes was induced using streptozotocin. OVX+D+E2 and OVX+D+MC groups were treated with 10 mu g/kg s.c. E2 and 100 mg/kg p.o. MC extract, respectively, for four weeks. Stomach tissues were analyzed for biochemical parameters. Results: The OVX, D, and OVX+D showed significant reductions in antioxidant enzyme activities and glutathione levels, and increases in oxidative stress markers and lipid peroxidation compared to the C group. E2 and MC treatments effectively mitigated these alterations, with MC showing comparable or superior effects to E2 in many parameters. MC treatment significantly improved blood glucose levels (-60% reduction in the OVX+D), stomach Na+/K+-ATPase activity (-110% increase in the OVX+D), and glycoprotein component levels. Conclusion: MC extract exhibits potent antioxidant and gastroprotective effects in postmenopausal diabetic rats, comparable to E2 treatment. These findings highlight its potential as a natural therapeutic agent for managing menopause-and diabetes-associated gastric complications.Conference Object A Unique Web 3 Product-NFT Usage in Healthcare(IEEE, 2025) Unozkan, HuseyinNon-fungible tokens (NFTs) have gained immense popularity and value in recent years. After the Web 3 revolution, many new products have been constructed based on smart contracts or powerful software agreements. One of the most exciting products of Web 3 is NFT, with their increasing popularity, high volatility, and significant price movements making them popular in trading activities. Although many people, investors and researchers perceive NFTs as a trading product, the smart contract and metadata, both of which make up of NFT structure, offer valuable support for the big data storage and processing fields. In recent years, researchers have proposed different uses of NFTs in healthcare systems to improve the quality of services by using NFTs' versatile data storage architecture. In this study, the capability of NFTs in the storage of health data is investigated, the usage and usage proposals of NFTs in health are examined, and probable usage areas in health sciences are evaluated. The uniqueness of this study is, using NFTs as the dead parental data storage in which the metadata does not need to be mitigated, but the stored data is very valuable for doctors to assess the genetic illnesses comes from parental DNAs.
