HIV AİDS ile Yaşayan Kişilerde Hepatit B Aşı Yanıtlarının Değerlendirilmesi: Üniversite Hastanesi Deneyimi
Abstract
This study was conducted to evaluate the serological response to hepatitis B vaccination in individuals living with HIV/AIDS and to assess the sociodemographic and clinical factors affecting this response. Data of individuals diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and followed up at a university hospital were retrospectively reviewed. The relationships between anti-HBs levels and demographic characteristics, lifestyle habits, and comorbidities were analyzed. It was determined that the majority of the cases were male and concentrated in the 20–50 age group. In a significant proportion of participants, protective antibody levels were negative before vaccination. The serological response rate was higher in women. Better vaccine responses were observed in individuals who did not use tobacco or alcohol. No significant association was found between comorbidities and vaccine response. Hepatitis B vaccine responses in individuals living with HIV were found to be variable and influenced by certain demographic and lifestyle factors. Further studies with larger sample sizes are recommended to support these findings.
