Abstract
This study was carried out with the aim of determining the postural deformations that occur in adolescents and young individuals, examining the contribution of Romspine education practices to their quality of life and creating a healthy aging culture. Thirty-four individuals aged 14-17 who met the inclusion criteria were divided into an intervention group and a control group. Flexibility, aerobic capacity, posture analysis and postural awareness levels of the individuals participating in this study were evaluated before and after the training. Initial measurements were made before the intervention group. Then, 20 minutes of Romspine theoretical training, 2 days a week for 8 weeks, and then 20 minutes of Romspine practical training were given face-to-face by the International Clinical Pilates Federation Master trainers. Romspine theoretical training; Romspine practice trainings consisted of strengthening the muscles that enable all joints to work, exercises for the ideal range of motion of all body joints, exercises for strengthening posture muscles, strengthening exercises for large and small muscle groups, and stretching and stretching exercises. After 8 weeks, final measurements were made. In the control group, first measurements were made. They were asked to exercise at home three days a week for 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, final measurements were made. As a result of the Romspine postural development theoretical and practical training and exercise program given in the intervention group, accompanied by an exercise and movement specialist, their posture awareness, knowledge of postural disorders, flexibility levels, postures, aerobic capacity, breathing and pulse rates, (p<0.05).
