In this study, the barriers to Maintenance 4.0 applications in the textile industry are investigated, and these barriers are weighted using the Stepwise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) method based on Pythagorean fuzzy numbers. Solutions to address these barriers are presented. As a result of this study, Organizational and Managerial emerged as the most important main criterion. Operational was identified as the second most significant main criterion, followed by Technical Competence. Data-Related and Cybersecurity ranked fourth in terms of importance. On the other hand, Human Resources and Training and Financial were found to be the least important main criteria. These two criteria received lower importance scores compared to the others, with Financial being the criterion with the lowest overall significance. Sensitivity analyses were performed for six different scenarios by changing the importance weights of the decision-makers. The ranking of the criteria only slightly changed with the weights; this means that the results obtained in Case 1 are robust and reliable. Even in Case 6, where the expert weight ratios were completely reversed, the results did not change significantly. This highlights an important point regarding the reliability of the assessment.Article Integrated Entropy-Edas Methods for the Electrified Car Selection Problem(2022) Tozan, Hakan; Büyükselçuk, Elif Çaloğlu; Endüstri Mühendisliği BölümüIncreasing air pollution affects the environment and life negatively. For a sustainable environment and life, people, voluntary organizations, and governments need to work on the solution of this problem. The biggest sources of air pollution are transportation vehicles. For this reason, many countries in Europe have stated that they will use solely electrified cars to reduce air pollution in the future. Therefore, in this study, it is aimed to determine the best electrified car. The result obtained can support consumers that to intend to buy an electrified vehicle in the decision-making process. This problem is a typical multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problem and some MCDM techniques are used to solve these problems. Here, the Entropy method was used to determine the weights of the selection criteria. Selection criteria was determined according to comprehensive literature survey and interviews with sales representatives. The EDAS (Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution) method was used to rank the electrified car alternatives that sold in Turkey. As a result of the evaluation, the most important criteria was determined by the price of the vehicle, the net battery capacity, and the electric motor power. According to these criteria, the electrified car manufactured in China was chosen as the best.Book Part Citation - Scopus: 1Where Are We and What Should We Do in Cleaner Production Transformation(IGI Global, 2023) Büyükselçuk, E.Ç.; Endüstri Mühendisliği BölümüUntil recently, production models developed according to market conditions focused on reducing costs and increasing profitability at the expense of the destruction of natural resources and the deterioration of ecological balance and human health. However, today, with the effects of the deterioration in the ecosystem reaching sensible dimensions and being accepted as a global threat, a new production approach is needed. Due to environmental pressures, new markets and scarce resources, development, and economic growth are being tried to be redefined. Traditional production methods and environmental technologies are no longer sufficient to provide resource efficiency and increase environmental performance. Therefore, the need for new systems, processes and technologies has arisen for the restructuring of the industry and the creation of green business models. In this chapter, it is discussed how the cleaner production approach will contribute to this transformation, considering the green transformation efforts in question and considering the current situation of the Turkish industry. © 2023, IGI Global.Article Citation - WoS: 1Citation - Scopus: 1Analyzing Critical Success Factors of Sustainable Knowledge Management: an Interval-Valued Neutrosophic Approach(Mdpi, 2024) Turan, Hakan; Bulak, Muhammet Enis; Buyukselcuk, Elif Caloglu; Endüstri Mühendisliği BölümüKnowledge management (KM) is a structured approach that includes the organized procedures of generating, capturing, arranging, storing, retrieving, distributing, and harnessing an organization's knowledge resources to attain its goals and improve its effectiveness. Encountering uncertainty and managing imprecise information are fundamental aspects of KM that cannot be avoided. In this context, sustainable KM aims to solve these issues and address prioritizing the long-term sustainability and efficiency of knowledge-related processes within an organization. The aim of this study is to structure a sustainable KM concept for organizations and identify the most common critical success factors (CSFs) with a novel analytical approach. In this context, the Interval-Valued Neutrosophic methodology, which is one of the multi-criteria decision methods (MCDMs), was adopted to evaluate and weight the determined CSFs. Four main headings-KM, environmental, economical, and social criteria-are evaluated along with their subfactors. Our findings show that KM is found to be the most important, and environmental factors followed KM. When the results are examined in terms of subfactors, cleaner production is found to be the most significant, with a global weight value of 11.13.
