    Psychological Health of University Students as Future Skilled Workforce: Predictive Role of Cyberbullying and Cybervictimization

    Üniversite öğrencilerinin, gelecekteki nitelikli iş gücünü temsil eden bireyler olarak psikolojik sağlık düzeyleri mezuniyet sonrası profesyonel hayatta başarılı olmaları ve hem kendileri hem de toplum için üretken bireyler olabilmeleri açısından son derece önemlidir. Bu nedenle, mevcut üniversite öğrencilerinin ve gelecekteki nitelikli iş gücünü oluşturacak bireylerin psikolojik sağlık düzeylerini yordayan faktörler incelenmesi gereken bir konudur. Bu araştırmada, özel üniversitelerde öğrenim gören üniversite öğrencilerinin siber zorbalık ve siber mağduriyet düzeyleri ile depresyon, anksiyete ve stres düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiler incelenmiştir. Araştırma İstanbul’da gerçekleştirilmiş ve araştırmaya 323 vakıf üniversitesi öğrencisi katılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri Demografik Bilgi Formu, Siber Mağduriyet –Zorbalık Ölçeği ve DASS-21 Ölçeği kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları, üniversite öğrencilerinin siber zorbalık ve siber mağduriyet düzeylerinin, depresyon, anksiyete ve stres düzeylerini yordadığını göstermiştir. Bulgular, literatür doğrultusunda değerlendirilmiş ve tartışılmıştır.

    Workplace Aggression and Violence

    Although violence is widely regarded as only physical attack by the society, it actually points to a much broader problem. This problem can be observed in workplaces as well as in social life. Workplace violence is an act or threat of violence that ranges from verbal abuse to physical assault against persons at work or in a particular role. Workplace violence can be defined as any act in which a person is abused, threatened, intimidated or attacked while working. The consequences of workplace violence can range from psychological problems to physical injury and even death. Workplace violence can occur in any workplace and can target any type of employee. In addition, workplace violence is not limited to events that occur in the traditional sense, but can also occur at work-related functions outside the workplace, at work-related social events, or for reasons that originate from work but are away from work, such as phone calls or e-mails. In this study, it is aimed to present a conceptual framework for workplace violence based on literature information, to draw attention to the subject by emphasizing the factors that lead to workplace violence, the consequences of workplace violence and the measures that can be taken regarding workplace violence.

    Examining Organizational Communication in Terms of Relationships Between Organizational Dissent, Perceived Organizational Power Distance and Psychological Capital

    Objectives: Employees' job satisfaction and organizational commitment is very important for the steady growth and development of an organization. Today, with the increase in the competitive environment, the attempts of organizations to understand how to ensure this stability have also increased. Also, it is seen that the high psychological capital of the employees and their dissent behavior increase the performance, while the high organizational power distance both reduces the performance and constitutes an obstacle in exhibiting the organizational dissent behavior. It is known that one of the most important factors contributing to the growth and development of organizations is that employees’ expression of the problems that arise in the functioning of the organization and their dissatisfaction. There are many individual, relational and organizational factors that affect organizational dissent, which expresses the ability of employees to express their views openly. One of the individual factors is the psychological capital level of the employees, and one of the organizational factors is the perceived organizational power distance. The concept of psychological capital expresses the individual's awareness of who he is and his cognitive capacity. Positive psychological capital has defined as a new movement that goes beyond economic capital, which refers to what we have, human capital, which refers to what we know, and social capital, which refers to who we know, to express who we are. According to this approach, discovering the strengths of individuals and enabling them to reveal these strengths in the most effective way contributes to individual well-being, while positively reflecting on performance and increasing productivity. Positive psychological capital provides competitive advantage by enriching the knowledge and human capital at the individual and organizational level. Organizational power distance is related to how the power balance in the subordinate-superior relationship is perceived. The concept of power distance was first aimed to explain the structure of societies. In the concept of organizational power distance, the inequality of power distribution between superiors and subordinates in organizations is mentioned. The participation of the members of the organization in organizational decisions, the level of initiative and responsibility also express the power distance. Studies have shown that high psychological capital increases organizational dissent behavior, while high power distance reduces dissent behavior. Accordingly, this research aimed to give insight for organizational communication by examining the relationships between perceived organizational power distance, psychological capital and organizational dissent. 
 
 Design/methodology/approach: The sample of the study consists of 300 participants who voluntarily participated in the study with the snowball sampling method. Demographic form, organizational power distance scale, organizational dissent scale and psychological capital scale were used to gather data.
 
 Results: Findings showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between organizational dissent and psychological capital. Also it has founded that there is a negative significant relationship between organizational power distance and psychological capital, organizational dissent. 
 
 Practical implications: This research draws attention to the importance of individual factors such as psychological capital in organizational communication. It provides an empirical basis for the initiatives of workplaces to increase the psychological capital levels of their employees. In addition, by drawing attention to the spread of organizational dissent culture, it paves the way for organizations to conduct cultural analysis.
 
 Originality/value: In the Turkish sample, organizational dissent, perceived organizational power distance and psychology capital concepts are evaluated together and it has a unique value in terms of being a research that reveals empirical data with quantitative study.

    Teachers’ Work Life During Pandemics: Covid-19 Phobia, Intention To Quit Job and Psychological Capital

    In this research, the relationship between the COVID-19 phobia and their intention to quit was examined.\rIn addition, the moderator role of psychological capital in the relationship between COVID-19 phobia and\rintention to quit job was investigated. 312 teachers who work in Antalya in various fields and levels\rparticipated in the study and the data were collected from the participants via online and by hand. The data\rwere obtained by using the demographic information form, the Psychological Capital Scale, the COVID-\r19 Fear Scale, and the Intention to Leave Scale. Results showed that there is a significant and positive\rrelationship between COVID-19 phobia and intention to quit job. In addition it has found that there is a\rnegative significant relationship between the COVID-19 phobia and psychological capital. Also, a negative\rsignificant relationship was found between intention to quit job and psychological capital. Finally, it was\rfound that psychological capital did not have a moderator variable role in the relationship between COVID-\r19 and intention to quit job. Based on this result, it was thought that psychological capital, which is one of\rthe psychological resources, may not be a protective factor in cases where the perception of physical security\ris not provided. The findings were evaluated and discussed within the framework of the literature, and\rsuggestions were made for future studies.

Ayrıca, derin rol yapma ile psikolojik danışman tükenmişliğinin yetersizlik alt boyutu arasında anlamlı ve pozitif bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Buna karşın, derin rol yapma boyutu ile psikolojik danışman tükenmişliği ve diğer alt boyutları arasında anlamlı bir ilişkinin bulunmadığı görülmüştür. Araştırmanın sonuç bölümünde, bulgular alan yazın çerçevesinde incelenerek, gelecek çalışmalar için öneriler sunulmuştur.

    İş Yerinde Sürdürülebilir Davranışlar: Beyaz Yakalı Çalışanlarda İş Tatmininin Yeşil Örgütsel Davranış Üzerindeki Yordayıcılık Rolünün İncelenmesi

    The study’s core purpose is to investigate the predictive role of job satisfaction on the green organizational behavior of white-collar employees. In this research, quantitative research method was employed. The research was conducted using a quantitative research method. Accordingly, the survey technique was chosen to obtain the research data. The data of the study were obtained from a total of 322 employees working in various sectors in Istanbul. The data were collected using a Personal Information Form, the Job Satisfaction Scale, and the Green Organizational Behavior Scale. A normality test, reliability test, descriptive statistical analyses, and simple regression analysis were applied to the data. The outcomes of the analysis demonstrated that the job satisfaction levels of white-collar employees significantly and positively predicted their green organizational behavior levels. The results revealed that a satisfactory work environment is essential for promoting sustainable practices. The research advances the literature by providing by emphasizing the importance of human resource factors in supporting sustainability, and the findings reveal that organizations aiming to promote environmentally responsible behaviors should also prioritize employees’ job satisfaction.

    Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Yaşam Doyumu Düzeyleri Üzerinde Kariyer Uyum Yeteneği ve Yükseköğretime Bağlılığın Yordayıcı Rollerinin İncelenmesi

    Purpose – In today's ever-changing academic and professional settings, it's becoming more crucial to understand the psychological and career-related factors that flourish university students well- being. In this context, this study aims to examine the predictive roles of career adaptability and commitment to higher education institutions on university students' life satisfaction levels. Design/methodology/approach – This research was conducted using a quantitative research method. In this context, the survey method was preferred in the study. A total of 295 students from foundation universities from Istanbul participated in the study. Personal Information Form, Career Adaptability Scale, Student Commitment in Higher Education Scale and Life Satisfaction Scale were used to collect the data. The data were subjected to the normality test, reliability test, descriptive statistical analysis and regression analysis. Results – The results showed that the levels of career adaptability and commitment to higher education significantly predicted the life satisfaction levels of university students. Discussion – It seems possible to evaluate the university years as an exciting yet challenging process in which different experiences are gained for university students. In this process, universities can be considered as social structures that are expected to contribute to students' life satisfaction by supporting their academic and personal development. Increasing the capacity of university students to adapt to the changing business life can help them make informed decisions about their future professional lives. In addition, individuals with high student commitment may be more motivated than others to improve their career adaptation skills by actively participating in educational processes. This may create a sustainable development cycle that supports students' academic and professional success by increasing their life satisfaction and psychological well-being.

    Psycho-Social Impact of the Disaster on Employees in Terms of Occupational Health and Safety: The Case of Turkey

    The earthquakes that occurred in Maras, Turkey, on February 6, 2023, with intensities of 7.7 MW and 7.6 MW, deeply affected the lives of millions of people in economic, social and psychological terms within a few seconds and caused loss of life. The aim of this study is to examine the moderator role of disaster preparedness plans in workplaces on the relationship between post-traumatic stress levels and depression, anxiety, stress levels of people who are directly or indirectly exposed to these earthquakes and have an active work life. The data was obtained from a total of 206 blue-collar employees who were actively working in a private company and were directly and indirectly exposed to the effects of the earthquake. In data collection, demographic information form, The Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) and Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) were used. According to the findings analyzed using structural equation modeling showed that having a disaster preparedness plan in workplaces weakens the strength of the relationship between post-traumatic stress level and depression, anxiety, stress levels.
