Article Citation Count: 2Accentuated Eccentric Load Training: Traditional Set Versus Cluster Set(Iermakov S S, 2022) Pınar, Salih; Pinar, Salih; Kaya, Selman; Antrenörlük Eğitimi BölümüBackground and Study Aim Material and MethodsThis study aims to comparatively analyse the effects of cluster set (CS) and traditional set (TS) applications on strength and power outputs in accentuated eccentric load (AEL) training. Thirty-two amateur male football players with at least 2 years of strength training history participated in the study (Xage: 18,78 +/- 0,83 years, Xheight:166,73 +/- 8,61 cm., Xbody weight: 69,59 +/- 6,03 kg.). Participants were randomly divided into two groups: CS (n=16) and TS (n=16). In both groups, the same "AEL Training" was applied and different set models were used. Augmented eccentric load (AEL) training was performed with 3 sets of 8 repetitions, 50% concentric and 80% eccentric of 1 Repetition Maximum (1-RM) and with a fast lifting tempo. The sets were completed with 20 seconds of rest after every two repetitions in the AEL-CS group and without any rest between repetitions in the AEL-TS group, and the training sessions were performed twice a week for 4 weeks. Countermovement jump (CMJ), 50cm drop jump-reactive strenght index (DJ-RSI) test, 1-RM strenght test, 10-20-30m sprint test and Illinois Agility Test (IAT) were performed on the athletes before and after the training.ResultsWhen analysing the data obtained in this study, Skewness and Kurtosis values and Kolmogorov-Smirnov values were examined to determine homogeneity. In order to compare the pre-test and post-test averages between groups, ANOVA was used for Repeated Measures, and Sample T Test was used to compare the pre-test and post-test averages within groups. The statistical significance level was determined as p<0.05. When the groups were compared, the difference in the improvement rate averages was tested. At the end of the four-week study, drop jump-reactive strength index (DJ-RSI), countermovement jump (CMJ), Illinois Agility Test (IAT) 10-20-30m sprint values and 1-RM values were improved percentage-wise in both AEL-CS and AEL-TS groups. Between the groups, a significant difference was observed between DJ-RSI, CMJ, and 10-20-m Sprint Test results (p<0.05). When we compare the results within groups, it can be concluded that the AEL-CS group showed more improvement in terms of strength, change of direction (COD) skills and Sprint compared to the AEL-TS group.ConclusionsIn conclusion, it can be advised to use cluster set in accentuated eccentric load training in order to improve strength, Sprint and COD skills.Article Citation Count: 1An Analysis of the Gross Motor Skills of Children Aged 3-6 Years With Autism Spectrum Disorder in Comparison With Their Typically Developing Peers(Sagamore Publishing Llc, 2023) Pınar, Salih; Ozer, Dilara; Pinar, Salih; Antrenörlük Eğitimi BölümüThe aim of this study is to examine the motor skill levels of children aged 3-6 years with Autism spectrum dis-order (ASD) in comparison with their typically devel-oping (TD) peers and to reveal their needs for motor support programs. The research group consisted of 88 participants aged 3-6 years, including 43 children (40 boys and 3 girls) diagnosed with ASD attending spe-cial education and rehabilitation institutions, and 45 TD children (23 boys and 22 girls) receiving pre-school education in a private institution (ASD=57.4 months, +/- 9.32 - TD=59.06 months, +/- 8.61). The Peabody Devel-opmental Motor Scale-2 (PDMS-2) and the Turkish Ver-sion of the Gilliam Autism Rating Scale-2 (GARS-2-TV) were used as data-collection tools in the study. The Mann-Whitney U test was used for the two-group com-parisons of the parameters that did not exhibit normal distribution in the analysis of the data. The Spearman correlation analysis was applied to determine the relationship between the variables. The significance was evaluated at the p<0.05 level. As a result of the research, the balance, locomotor and manipula-tive skills and total gross motor scores of the children with ASD were found to be lower than those of the TD children (p<0.05). In addition, it was observed that there was a significant correlation between GARS-2 -TV scores and PDMS-2 scores of the children with ASD (p<0.05).Article Citation Count: 1Effects of Motor Intervention Program on Academic Skills, Motor Skills and Social Skills in Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder(Springer/plenum Publishers, 2024) Pınar, Salih; Ozer, Dilara Fatos; Pinar, Salih; Antrenörlük Eğitimi BölümüThe aim of this study was to examine the effect of motor intervention program (MIP) on autistic index, pre-academic skills, motor skills and social skills of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The research group consisted of a total of 34 participants between the ages of 3-6, 17 in the control group (CG) and 17 in the experimental group (EG). EG participated in the motor intervention program for 60 min a day, 2 days a week for 12 weeks. In the study, the Gilliam Autistic Disorder Rating Scale-2-Turkish Version (GARS-2 TV), Peabody Motor Development Scale-2 (PMDS-2), Pre-Academic Skills Evaluation Form (PASAF) and Social Skills Evaluation System Preschool Teacher Form (SSRS-PTF) were used. The increase in all subtests and total scores of PASAF and posttest scores obtained from PMDS-2 were found to be higher in favor of the experimental group (p < 0.05). The decrease in the stereotype and social interaction scores of GARS-2 TV and the change in the cooperation, self-control and externalization sub-dimensions of SSRS-PTF were found to be statistically significant in favor of the EG group (p < 0.05). In conclusion, it was found that MIP applied to autistic children was effective on the development of motor skills, academic skills and social skills and decreased the level of autistic index. This result shows that MIP is an effective practice that provides a favorable environment for autistic young children to develop multiple skills.Article Citation Count: 0Effects of Triphasic Training Model Combined With Two Different Cluster Sets on Vertical Jump and Reactive Strength Index(Iermakov S S, 2022) Pınar, Salih; Pinar, Salih; Antrenörlük Eğitimi BölümüBackground and Study Aim This study aims to examine the effects of the Triphasic Training Model (TTM) applied with different set designs (15-30 sec intra-set) on reactive strength index (RSI) and vertical jump values. Material and Methods Sixteen male athletes over 18 with at least three years of strength training experience (2 days a week) actively engaged in sports participated in the study. The study group was divided into two groups by calculating the relative strengths. The 15-second cluster set (C15) group exercises were performed with 15 seconds of rest between repetitions, and the 30-second cluster-set (C30) group practiced the exercises with 30 seconds of rest between repetitions. The triphasic training model was applied to all study groups for six weeks. Countermovement jump (CMJ) and drop jump tests were performed on the athletes before and after the training. Optojump brand photocell system was used for CMJ and RSI tests. For the RSI test, the desk height was determined as 40cm. Kolmogorov-Smirnov values were examined to assess the homogeneity of the data. To compare the means between groups, ANOVA was used for Repeated Measures, and a t-test was used to compare the pretest-posttest mean of the groups. The statistical significance level was determined as p<0.05. Results After triphasic training, CMJ and RSI values of both C15 and C30 groups increased (p<0.05). When the within-group pretest-posttest values were examined, it was seen that the C30 group showed more improvement than the C15 group. Conclusions As a result, it was seen that the triphasic training model applied twice a week for six weeks improved the CMJ and RSI values of the athletes, and it was more effective to use C30 instead of C15 in the use of cluster sets.Article Citation Count: 0The Effects of Two Different Concurrent Training Programs on Specific Performance, Physiological and Biochemical Parameters in Soccer Players(Sage Publications Ltd, 2024) Pınar, Salih; Pinar, Salih; Ciloglu, Figen; Antrenörlük Eğitimi BölümüThe study examined the effects of two concurrent training models, one being an eight-week High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and the other, High-Intensity Functional Training (HIFT) both with additional strength training (S), on physiological parameters (blood lactate concentration and heart rate), athlete's performance (maximal strength, explosive power, aerobic endurance, 20 m sprint), and biochemical outputs. The study involved a total of 21 young males playing with amateur soccer licenses for at least 2 years divided into three groups. One group received S + HIIT training, second group received S + HIFT training and the control group continued their soccer-specific training. Both the experimental and the control groups underwent pre- and post-tests and while only the experimental groups underwent an eight-week training program. Pre- and post-tests of the all the participants included measurements of body composition, adaptation studies, trial measurements, biochemical blood, aerobic endurance measurements, sprint tests, and strength measurements. The Mixed Design ANOVA analysis was utilized to examine the performance, physiological, and biochemical data of the participants before and after the experiment. Concurrent training models were effective in increasing athletic performance (VO2max, CMJ, 1RM bench press and Yo-Yo test) and physiological outcomes during recovery (HR, blood lactate, Borg Scale) compared to the control group with traditional training. There was no significant difference between the biochemical changes in the S + HIIT, S + HIFT and control groups during the trial period. In summary, both concurrent training (CT) models had positive effects on sports performance and physiological outcomes, but not on biochemical outcomes.Article Citation Count: 3Investigation of the Effect of Concurrent Training Strength and Endurance Training on Physical, Physiological and Psychological Parameters in Young Football Players(Lahore Medical Research Center Llp, 2021) Pınar, Salih; Pinar, Salih; Antrenörlük Eğitimi BölümüBackground: Football is a versatile team sport that requires a range of physical characteristics, including flexibility, power, strength, endurance, speed, repetitive sprinting, quickness-agility and technique-tactics. Developing all these features at the same time, especially in the pre-season, when players are in a deconditioning state, returning to training after a rest period; it is quite difficult for coaches and performance trainers. Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the effects of strength and endurance training applied simultaneously on some physical, physiological and psychological parameters in young football players. Methods: U19 age group players were included in the research group, 24 male football players who played amateur or professionally licensed football for at least 5 years and trained for an average of 2 hours a day, 5 days a week; (Endurance+Strength Group n=12, Strength+Endurance Group n=12). In the study, 1 RM strength test, agility, speed, technique, decision-making skills and endurance tests were taken from the participants. In our study, with the pretest-posttest measurement method; Yo-Yo test, Loughborough Soccer Passing Test (LSPT), Illinois Agility Test, 30 meters Speed Test, Maximal (1RM) Strength Test, Jumping Test (CMJ) were applied. Results: The findings obtained when the performance values of football players within and between groups were evaluated statistically; It has been determined that the positive increase in endurance, strength, sprint, agility/speediness, jump and lspt pass test values as a percentage (%) was seen in the group that applied strength training before endurance training. Conclusion: The application of strength training before endurance training in 'concurrent' training model applications in young football players; on performance values; It has been determined that endurance training has more effect than applying it before strength training. According to these results, it is thought that designing the programs by taking this situation into consideration in the training program adjustments can contribute more to the coaches and the player group in terms of sportive efficiency.
