Article Citation Count: 0Analyzing Critical Success Factors of Sustainable Knowledge Management: an Interval-Valued Neutrosophic Approach(Mdpi, 2024) Çaloğlu Büyükselçuk, Elif; Bulak, Muhammet Enis; Buyukselcuk, Elif Caloglu; Endüstri Mühendisliği BölümüKnowledge management (KM) is a structured approach that includes the organized procedures of generating, capturing, arranging, storing, retrieving, distributing, and harnessing an organization's knowledge resources to attain its goals and improve its effectiveness. Encountering uncertainty and managing imprecise information are fundamental aspects of KM that cannot be avoided. In this context, sustainable KM aims to solve these issues and address prioritizing the long-term sustainability and efficiency of knowledge-related processes within an organization. The aim of this study is to structure a sustainable KM concept for organizations and identify the most common critical success factors (CSFs) with a novel analytical approach. In this context, the Interval-Valued Neutrosophic methodology, which is one of the multi-criteria decision methods (MCDMs), was adopted to evaluate and weight the determined CSFs. Four main headings-KM, environmental, economical, and social criteria-are evaluated along with their subfactors. Our findings show that KM is found to be the most important, and environmental factors followed KM. When the results are examined in terms of subfactors, cleaner production is found to be the most significant, with a global weight value of 11.13.Article Citation Count: 7The Best Whey Protein Powder Selection Via Vikor Based on Circular Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets(Mdpi, 2023) Çaloğlu Büyükselçuk, Elif; Sari, Yigit Can; Endüstri Mühendisliği BölümüPeople try very hard to have a symmetrical, strong, and beautiful body. The human body needs high amino acids for muscle protein synthesis. Whey protein is a good choice that contains all amino acids, which increases muscle protein synthesis and improves body shape with resistance exercise. For this reason, those who do sports, especially professionals, prefer to use these products frequently. A large number of commercial whey protein powders are sold on the market, and to achieve maximum purpose, individuals want to use the best one. Intuitionistic fuzzy sets are used in order to minimize the negative effects of the uncertainty environment and ambiguous information encountered in the decision-making process on the solution. In this study, VIKOR, based on the circular intuitionistic fuzzy set, has been used to determine the best whey protein supplement. In line with the comprehensive literature review and expert opinions, the evaluation criteria affecting the selection process have been determined, and the solution of the problem has been focused.Article Citation Count: 0Evaluation of Industrial Iot Service Providers With Topsis Based on Circular Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets(Tech Science Press, 2024) Çaloğlu Büyükselçuk, Elif; Endüstri Mühendisliği BölümüIndustrial Internet of Things (IIoT) service providers have become increasingly important in the manufacturing industry due to their ability to gather and process vast amounts of data from connected devices, enabling manufacturers to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. These platforms provide manufacturers with real-time visibility into their production processes and supply chains, allowing them to optimize operations and make informed decisions. In addition, IIoT service providers can help manufacturers create new revenue streams through the development of innovative products and services and enable them to leverage the benefits of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Overall, the implementation of IIoT platforms in the manufacturing industry is crucial for companies seeking to remain competitive and meet the ever-increasing demands of customers in the digital age. In this study, the evaluation criteria to be considered in the selection of IIoT service provider in small and medium-sized (SME) manufacturing enterprises will be determined and IIoT service providers alternatives will be evaluated using the technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS) method based on circular intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Based on the assessments conducted in accordance with the literature review and expert consultations, a set of 8 selection criteria has been established. These criteria encompass industry expertise, customer support, flexibility and scalability, security, cost-effectiveness, reliability, data analytics, as well as compatibility and usability. Upon evaluating these criteria, it was observed that the security criterion holds the highest significance, succeeded by cost-effectiveness, data analytics, flexibility and scalability, reliability, and customer support criteria, in descending order of importance. Following the evaluation of seven distinct alternatives against these criteria, it was deduced that the A6 alternative, a German service provider, emerged as the most favorable option. The identical issue was addressed utilizing sensitivity analysis alongside various multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods, and after comprehensive evaluation, the outcomes were assessed. Spearman's correlation coefficient was computed to ascertain the association between the rankings derived from solving the problem using diverse MCDM methods.Article Citation Count: 7A Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Approach for Greenovative Supplier Selection(Univ Cincinnati industrial Engineering, 2022) Çaloğlu Büyükselçuk, Elif; Tozan, Hakan; Vayvay, Ozalp; Endüstri Mühendisliği BölümüIn today???s rapidly changing business environment, green and innovative (greenovative) activities have become indispensable elements of sustainable supply network management. Realization of this fact obliges firms to consider greenovative as well as traditional criteria in determining their supplier. This study provides a new greenovative systematic approach to supplier selection for small and medium-sized enterprises. Fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (FMCDM)-based techniques were used to determine the most appropriate supplier with the proposed model. To show the usability of the model, an application was carried out on an automotive supply company. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) approaches were used to calculate the weights of the supplier selection criteria. After determining criteria weights, different multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques that are often encountered in the literature were used to identify the best supplier.Article Citation Count: 0Player Selection in Football by Integrated Swara-Vikor Methods Under Fuzzy Environment(Cell Press, 2024) Çaloğlu Büyükselçuk, Elif; Badem, Eray; Endüstri Mühendisliği BölümüThis study aims to provide an objective evaluation and selection of the most suitable players for the Turkish National Football Team by using multi-criteria decision-making methods, specifically Stepwise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) and VIsekriterijumsko KOmpromisno Rangiranje (VIKOR) based on neutrosophic numbers. In the initial step of the study, the important criteria for player selection were determined, and a total of 21 and 26 criteria were identified for goalkeeper and players, respectively. Agility, reflexes and jumping ability are very important for goalkeeper whereas marking, passing ability, agility, dribbling, and footwork are the most important criteria for players. The performances of the players were evaluated due to these criteria and finally the Turkish National Football Team was established scientifically because of the best player selection. This decision-making process will be more beneficial in making more informed and effective decisions in the national team's player selection process. The success of the team can be improved by providing an objective and systematic player selection approach.
